Foreigners warmly welcome Fajr Int'l film market

The Iranian film market of the 37th edition of Fajr International Film Festival has been warmly received by foreign cinephiles.

On the first day of the Fajr screening event, nearly 300 people paid a visit to the film market, of whom there were 60 foreign as well as domestic buyers. This is while this year edition has witnessed a rise in the number of film companies at the market.

According to pre-set appointments, buyers have also met with film companies to negotiate purchase terms and conditions.

A selection of 25 Iranian films is being presented to the representatives of international distributors during the sideline of the Iranian film market.

The film market of the 37th Fajr Int’l Film Festival will run until April 25th, 2019; one day before the closing ceremony of the festival.

Screening rooms and a video library are also provided for the film owners to introduce their films to the market participants.

During the festival, media personalities are able to visit the film market only for two times.

Supervised by Iran’s Ministry of Culture, the 37th edition of Fajr International Film Festival will wrap up on April 26, 2019.
